A head wrap is the quietest upgrade in airsoft — until you play a hot, sweaty day without one. The ZL-H04 tactical headgear keeps goggles from sliding, ties a kit together visually, and adds a sliver of comfort up top without the bulk of a helmet. This guide covers the four scenarios where the ZL-H04 earns its place, then the exact gear to build around it.

Where the ZL-H04 shines — 4 use-case scenarios
1. CQB & indoor — stop the goggles slipping
Close-quarters buildings are hot and fast. Sweat is what makes sealed goggles creep and fog, and a sliding lens is a safety problem, not just an annoyance. The ZL-H04 wicks sweat away from the brow and gives the goggle strap something to grip, so your ZL-633 goggles stay seated through every entry. It also makes a half-face loadout look like a kit instead of a pile of parts.
2. Outdoor woodland — sun, wind & branch cover
In the woods you get sun on the crown, wind through the ears, and low branches that rake the top of your head. The wrap adds light coverage and a base layer under a cap or comms setup, and it stays breathable so you don’t cook. Layer it with the ZL1 mask for a clean goggle-to-mask line.
3. MilSim long games — comfort that lasts 8–12 hours
Multi-hour ops punish gear that shifts or pinches. The ZL-H04’s light wrap spreads pressure evenly and keeps the eyewear stable under a helmet or bump cap, so by hour six you are not constantly adjusting. Run matched colors across a fireteam and the whole squad reads as one unit in photos and on the field.
4. New-player first buy — cheap anchor for a kit
If you are building a first loadout, the ZL-H04 is the lowest-risk purchase you can make: it is inexpensive, one size, and it immediately improves how your goggles sit. Start here, add sealed goggles and a mask, and you are field-legal and coordinated without overspending.
What to pair with the ZL-H04
A head wrap manages sweat and look — everything below is what actually protects you and completes the kit.
ZL-633 goggles (must-have eye pro)
Sealed wraparound eye protection. The ZL-H04 keeps this strap from slipping during fast moves.
ZL1 half-face mask (lower-face cover)
The most-seen pairing in our product shots: mask + wrap = unified, snag-free loadout.
ZL-656 combo (full-front option)
Want eye + lower-face in one frame? The 656 combo plus the wrap is the fastest full-coverage setup.
ZL-BXB-2CM pad (comfort)
A 2 cm vented pad that takes pressure off the crown and straps during long games.
ZL-S-TARGET (training)
Practice at home so game day is boring. A target belongs in every starter kit.
ZL-EGW01 tracer (night games)
For night games, add a green tracer and glow BBs — the wrap keeps your goggles clear while you track the shot line.
Three ready-made kits
Pick the level that matches your play, all anchored by the ZL-H04.
| Kit | Includes | Best for |

Frequently asked questions
Does the ZL-H04 replace a helmet?
No. The ZL-H04 is a light wrap for sweat control, strap grip, and a coordinated look. A helmet or bump cap adds real crown impact protection for heavy-woodland or MilSim play where branch strikes and ricochets near the top of the head are a factor. Use the wrap under the helmet, not instead of it.
Will it fit under my goggles and mask?
Yes. It is a low-profile wrap designed to sit flat, so the goggle strap (e.g. the ZL-633) and a half-face mask (the ZL1) layer over it without buckle collisions or pressure points.
Is the ZL-H04 one size?
Per the product page it is a uniform size that fits most heads. If you run a very large helmet or thick comms headset underneath, check the fit with your other gear before a long game.
Does headgear protect against BB hits?
No. A head wrap is not rated for BB impact. Eye protection (sealed goggles) and lower-face protection (mask) are the mandatory pieces; the ZL-H04 is the comfort and stability layer on top of those.
How do I clean the ZL-H04?
Hand-wash in warm, mild soapy water, gently work the wrap, rinse, and air-dry away from direct sun or heat — heat shrinks straps and warps any stiffened panels. Same care routine as the ZL1 mask.
